For Adults Who Have Been Abused Either in Childhood or Adulthood

Many adults living in our society will have been abused earlier in life or may still be living in abusive situations now. When the time is right it is important for a victim of abuse to go through the healing process. This can be done in a variety of ways and it is important to acknowledge that everyone is an individual. So some people will need one to one therapy; others may benefit from group support.

Jacki Pritchard Ltd can offer therapeutic support groups which are:

  • Aimed at: adults (18+) who have experienced (or are still experiencing) abuse in childhood or adulthood. Abuse can be: physical, sexual, emotional, financial, neglect, discriminatory or institutional.
  • Time limited: six 2 hour sessions
  • Small: no more than 6 people
  • Held near: Sheffield City Centre
  • Run by two workers: (i) a social worker registered with the General Social Care Council (ii) an experienced facilitator for survivors of abuse

We set up groups as the need arises. We welcome self referrals from both women and men. We also accept referrals from professionals and workers on the condition that they have the adult’s permission to contact us.

There is a charge for attending the group sessions; please contact us for further information on
